Privacy Policy

Klinvi (klinvi.com) is an app that helps house cleaning businesses run their schedule, houses, clients, team and payments. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers the Klinvi app and website, including the pages that businesses share with their clients and helpers.

Information we collect

  • Your account: name, email address and language. If you create a password, we only store a scrambled version of it (a hash), never the password itself.
  • Sign in with Google: if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and an account identifier with us. We don't receive your Google password, and we get no access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
  • Your business: what you add to your profile, such as business name, logo, phone, email, address, website, social media, prices, services, work hours, team and photos. If you turn on your public listing, part of it appears in the Klinvi directory.
  • Clients and houses: what you add about the houses you clean and the people you work with, such as names, phone numbers, addresses, entry instructions, notes, schedules, checklists, estimates and payments.
  • Messages and requests: chat messages, visit messages with photos or videos, and requests sent through a business's links (booking link, client portal, estimates and profile), including the contact details and address the person sends.
  • Usage: when you sign in, we record the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), its operating system and an approximate location (city, state and country) that our hosting provider estimates from the connection. We also record the days you use the app. We don't store IP addresses.
  • Notifications: if you allow notifications, we store the address your browser gives us to deliver them.

How we use it

  • To run Klinvi: schedule, client links, reminders, translations, maps, drive times and notifications.
  • To keep accounts safe: sign-in, limits against abuse and fraud prevention.
  • To understand how Klinvi is used (for example, how many accounts are active) and to improve it.
  • To answer you when you contact us.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the providers we need to run Klinvi, and only for that:

  • Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database and file storage), with servers in the United States.
  • Google: Sign in with Google, Google Maps (maps on the public pages) and drive times between addresses.
  • Anthropic (Claude) and MyMemory: automatic translation of messages, requests and texts.
  • Zippopotam.us: finding the city of a ZIP code (only the ZIP code is sent).
  • Your browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla), to deliver notifications.

Information is stored in the United States. When a business shares a link (estimate, chat, checklist, booking or portal), anyone with that link can see the information on that page. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Klinvi and the people who use it.

Google user data

We use the name, email address and Google account identifier only to create your Klinvi account and sign you in. We don't use them for advertising, we don't sell them, and we don't share them with anyone except the providers above that run Klinvi. Klinvi's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Klinvi's access at any time in your Google Account.

Cookies

We only use the cookies Klinvi needs to work: one that keeps you signed in (for up to 30 days), one that remembers your language and a temporary one (10 minutes) while you sign in with Google. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. On checklist links, your browser may remember the name you type, on your device only. Pages with a map load it from Google, which may use its own cookies under Google's Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, together with your business's information, within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep. Backup copies are erased as the backups expire.

Your choices and rights

You can see and correct most of your information in the app. To get a copy of your information or delete your account, write to contact@klinvi.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, in the United States, or Brazil), you may have other rights, such as knowing what we have about you and asking us to correct or delete it. We answer as soon as we can, within the deadlines set by law, and no one is treated differently for using these rights.

If you are a client or helper of a business that uses Klinvi, that business decides what it keeps about you: talk to them first. You can also write to us.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as hashes and each account can only reach its own data. No system is 100% secure, so keep your password safe and tell us if you notice anything strange.

Children

Klinvi is made for businesses and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we will also let you know in the app.
